I’m Colette, a Métis woman (she/her) and a MMFT candidate therapist. I’m passionate about relationships and the systems that shape who we are. I work with individuals, couples, and families, drawing from attachment-based and experiential approaches.
I bring curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to gently explore the hard questions. I value authenticity—I’ll meet you with warmth, honesty, relentless empathy and sometimes even laughter or tears along the way.
My approach is deeply rooted in anti-oppression and trauma-informed practices. I want to meet my clients as they are. When a specific approach isn't working, I try something else. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English and Indigenous Studies from the University of Manitoba and am a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy Candidate at the University of Winnipeg.
I believe there is far more that connects us than divides us. And there's no such thing as too much. I offer a warm, direct and compassionate space where you can feel seen and supported. If you’re asking, “How did we get here?” or “Who am I?”, let’s explore those questions together. I’d be honoured to help you hold your story.
I’ve worn many hats in my life that have taken me from working with children, youth and adults in social services roles, to volunteer management, teaching yoga and more! I also cherish being a mom to a teenager and caring for our beautiful, rescued lab. When I’m not working or being with family, you’ll find me walking our dog and healing through bead work.
It has been a dream and a privilege to become a therapist.
I’ve learned how to ask questions in a way that helps people find the right answer for themselves. A really good question can take a person deeper into their dilemma. To know another person purely for the purpose of being helpful, kind and generous heals something in me.
