Hello and welcome!
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Originally from Zimbabwe, I moved to Canada as a young adult, an experience that deepened my appreciation for the challenges of identity, change, and personal growth.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centred, creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change.
My therapeutic style integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Strengths-Based approaches. Together, we focus on building practical skills, increasing self-awareness, and fostering resilience.
In addition to counselling, I bring several years of experience in child and family services, supporting children, youth, and families through complex life circumstances. This background informs my trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to therapy.
